We have partnered with Te Ara Kākāriki Greenway Canterbury Trust.

Te Ara Kākāriki Trust has the goal of increasing biodiversity in Canterbury.

We’ve thought long and hard about what we can do to acknowledge the environmental impact of air-freighting fabrics.

We annually make a contribution to the trust so that it can continue its awesome mahi of re-establishing native plantings in our local area.

We are proud to ship plastic-free.

Our cushions are shipped wrapped in heavy brown paper, placed in sturdy custom cardboard boxes and secured with solvent free paper tape. All of which are made from sustainable forestry sources and all are 100% recyclable.

We support the ‘Slow Interiors’ movement.

We believe in buy once, buy well. Like fast fashion, fast interiors items are mass produced and low cost, wearing out rapidly and ending up in landfill. We know our cushions will give you years of pleasure, not instant gratification quickly followed by disappointment.

Our feather inners contain ethically sourced duck feathers.

Our suppliers are internationally certified as being humane harvesters of feather and down, a status that is reviewed annually to ensure strict bird welfare measures are complied with.

We dont like to waste anything

Our fabrics are carefully ordered so there is minimal wastage. Strips leftover from cutting out the cushion backs are repurposed into handmade piping. We also include vintage and re-purposed fabrics in our range. We use (almost) every scrap and what we don't use is gifted to sustainable sewers to be used in their projects.

Shop with us and you are supporting a small creative business.

Our cushions will always be hand-made with care and great attention to detail in Ōtautahi, Christchurch New Zealand.
